When you’re an otaku, you’ve reached a different level of nerdism. Yup, my Nerd Groove is fully charged. I really enjoy watching anime. I get to see stories that are different than the types told in more Americanized commercial media (but please believe I still love American TV), and generally I just end up clicking with a lot of the characters of my favorite shows.
All Time Favorite:
Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni -
Okay, so I love horror. Not the cheap Hollywood kind, but psychological horror. I love Resident Evil, I loved the original Saw, and I absolutely love Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni. Higurashi is a horror anime based on a teenage boy named Keiichi who moves to rural Japan after life in the city. The small town of Hinamizawa seems peaceful at first, but holds a dark secret. The anime currently spans through 2 seasons with more on the way. There’s been a live action movie and an OAV. Mature themes, multiple story arcs, and absolutely amazing characters makes me love this anime. Without going to far into it, the show is just fucken sic. If you ever have the chance to watch it, I recommend it like sex.
Oh, and I’m absolutely in love with Ryuugu Rena and Sonozaki Mion…yep, feel like a virgin all over again; so nerdy.
