I’m Johnny Teppelin, aka John Rog. I’m a pretty normal guy with a pretty average life. I attended the University of California Riverside and now work at an interactive media entertainment  company doing project management type work. I enjoy the typical stuff of guys my age, though edging on the geek side. I like watching TV, anime, gaming, etc. Not completely lost to nerdism, I play tennis at a 3.5 level.

I’ve got a lot of goals in 2009, which is the primary reason for the website (at least this year). A friend told me that blogging has really helped her stay on track with a lot of things in ‘08 and so I have decided to try it as well.

Goals for ‘09:

  • Get Healthier- I’ve lived like a sloth for most of my adult life and have put on far too much excess weight. I’m hoping (along with a co-worker) to stay on track with a healthier diet and working out at the ol’ company gym. I would like to get back to my high school weight sometime this year.
  • Advance my Career- I’ve progressed fairly well at my company in the two years that I’ve been with them. I’m going to be working my hardest to advance this year as well. Due to the nature of the entertainment industry, I probably will not be posting about job particulars often.
  • Taste Immortality- With the release of Street Fighter 4 this year, I want to try and etch my name into the history books. I’ve got the resources and tools. This is my last chance to try anything of the sort.
  • Save up for a House- With age comes the whole growing up part. I currently rent a house but would like to become an owner in the next three years. Saving is so hard when spending is so fun.
  • Be Nice to as Many People Possible- I’ve been blessed and cursed with a need to put down others at times when an opening presents itself. The world can be a bad enough place as is. It’s much nicer to pick people up than to put them down.

That sounds like a decent start. To the handful of people who may end up reading this blog, wish me luck!
